  1. On the Horizon: This week in Math!Tuesday: More Integers! STARTER- Give out workbooks FOLLOW UP- Formative Assessment (Number Line and Absolute Value) LESSON-Adding Integers Foldable Notes (Glue Notes in Notebook!) and Row Your Boat Song ACTIVITY-Integer Adding War Card Game CLOSURE-Syllabus/Wkbk (+ integers page)

  2. Row Your Boat To Adding Integers! • Addition Rules • sung to Row-Row-Row Your Boat • Method - Using the melody of "Row, Row, Row, Your Boat" give the students the following words: • "Same Sign, add and keep, • different sign, subtract. • Take the sign of the higher number, • then it’ll be exact!" • Explain that “higher number” means higher absolute value. Continue with the melody, singing (and maybe dancing around the room)! Get the students to sing along and keep repeating it.

Wednesday: Integers • Starter • Math Minute- Sheet 3 • Follow Up- Homework Huddle, Rotations -(Integer Word Problems) • Lesson - Subtract Integers Foldable Notes (Add to Foldable in Notebook!)/Dry Erase Practice • Activity- Boards Up with Subtracting Integers • Closure- Exit Ticket- adding, HW-Wkbk (- integers)

  4. Thursday: Integers • Starter • Math Minute- Add and Subtract Integers • Follow Up- Homework Huddle • Lesson- BINGO procedures • Activity- Add/Subtract BINGO!!! • Closure- HW- (+,-) worksheet, Quiz on (+,-) Integers Friday!

Friday • Starter • Math Minute- Go over Absolute Value Assessment and Complete I can…statements • Follow Up- Check Homework, Formative Assessment of (+,-) Integers (Quiz) • Lesson- Multiply and Divide Integers Foldable Notes (add to foldable in notebook!) • Activity- Mulitply and Divide War Game • Closure- Read Scholastic
