WAT IS IHE? • IHE is een wereldwijd initiatiefvanprofessionalsuit de zorg en leveranciers uit de industrie om de manier waarop ICT systemen uit de zorg informatie uitwisselen en delen te verbeteren • intramuraal, transmuraal, regionaal, nationaal • “user-led, vendor-driven” • IHE propageert het gecoördineerd gebruik van wereldstandaardenzoals bijv. DICOM, HL7, CCOW om specifieke zorgbehoeften te adresseren, ter ondersteuning van een optimale patiëntenzorg • Systemen ontwikkeld in overeenstemming met IHE communiceren beter met elkaar, zijn gemakkelijker te implementerenen stellen zorginstellingen in staat om informatie effectiever te gebruiken Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise
