This appeals to so many people as they can interact with other peoples videos and find interesting clips to share with their friends. There is no specific genre. The users may watch pretty much anything they want completely for free. YouTube can also be used in education as some clips may be relevant to topics in school.
  3. Blogs: Information on blogs may not always be correct as they are written by general members of the public. Due to information, images and videos on blogs, audiences may expect more, as they have already been shown the best scenes from the movie etc…and the movie has been made to look very good. It has changed the way audiences can engage with the movie Anchorman 2 as they are able to view the trailer before watching the full movie.
  4. Impact on Paramount: Blogs and YouTube adverts help to advertise up and coming movies. The more people that know about it the more go an see it. The profits from this can be used to make new films. It is free advertisement for the companies. Companies do not make any money from this online advertisement as the public can view this information/watch videos for free. Audiences can also view the full movie on illegal websites, the companies lose out on money here too. Marketing is sped up using YouTube as free adverts display to the world what to expect from the film. The best scenes from the clip are also shown through trailers on YouTube.

There was a Paramount Pictures channel as well as a Anchorman 2 channel on YouTube which both streamed videos, trailers and interviews to do with the film.
  6. The Selfish Giant: The Selfish Giant also used free forms of social media to market the film e.g. Facebook page with 3000 likes and a twitter profile with roughly 300 followers. YouTube was also used to release the trailer and interviews to do with the film. They had an official website, however this was less interactive in comparison to Anchorman 2.
