Location Coastal Plateau • Along Puget sound of Washington state Why does geography influence where they live? • Geography influenced where they lived because they had a place were they could fish which made an unlimited resource of food • In eastern Washington • Why does geography influence where they live? • Geography influenced were they lived because they had access to lakes and ponds.

FOOD Coastal plateau • clams, mussels, oysters, crabs, salmon and whale • How did geography influence their diet • It influenced their diet because they ate mostly sea creatures • They ate berries, nuts, wild roots, deer, rabbits, mountain goats, sheep, birds and salmon • How did geography influence their diet • It influenced their diet because they could not find many lakes

Longhouse. • How did geography influence type of shelter and materials used • It influenced the type of shelter because they could build strong wooden houses • Large wooden longhouses with wooden poles • How did geography influence type or shelter and materials used • It influenced the type of shelter because they would not have many large sized rocks

Decorated with feathers, shells, and quills • How did geography influence type of clothing • It influenced type of clothing because they would have to make caps to block sunlight
