  2. Food from the Nez Perce • The Nez Perce tribe’s main foods were salmon and the gathered roots and berries and hunted deer, rabbits, and elk.

  3. Food for the Flathead! • They rode horses a long time so they could hunt the bison for food and tools . They shot the bison with bow and flint arrows.

  4. Shelter for the Nez Perce They had to build tepees because they had to move place to place to follow the buffalo for food.

  5. The Flathead houses • They live in longhouses or tepees .If they lived in tepees so they could travel place to place.
