In Vila Nova de Famalicão, I often encounter questions about my identity, whether I'm Italian or not. It's puzzling to me why people feel the need to categorize individuals into boxes based on nationality. Isn’t life more colorful and enriching when we embrace our differences, our unique habits, and traditions? The contrast of varied experiences, tastes, and lifestyles makes our world vibrant and interesting. I believe that diversity is not just to be accepted, but celebrated. Let’s appreciate each other for who we are and the richness we bring.

DIVERSITY Adriana a Vila Nova di Famalicão
But what is diversity? The fact that we have different habits, different traditions? my dress different from hers? Don’t you think having, seeing, tasting two different things is more interesting that just one? Often people stop me in the street and ask me if I am Italian or, even worse, if at least , my husband is. And I don’t understand why we should be necessarily Italian, at least one of us….
so we would be half-foreigners, half-different? Why cant they accept us the way we are, with our diversity? At the end, diversity is enrichment, don’t you agree?
