Overview of Installed Generating Capacity as of March 2013

As of March 2013, the total installed generating capacity is 32,871 MW, comprising various sources. Independent Power Producers (IPP) contribute 12,742 MW (39%), while Small Power Producers (SPP) provide 2,715 MW (8%). There is also an import and exchange capacity of 2,404 MW (7%). The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) accounts for 15,010 MW (46%). This diverse electricity portfolio plays a critical role in ensuring energy security and meeting the demands of the population.
