Exploring My Five Favorite Art Pieces: Rachel Penningjack’s Artistic Journey

In my art statement, I share my reflections on art. While I don't consider myself an artist, I enjoy admiring and occasionally dabbling in creative activities. My previous experiences were more akin to embroidery than true artistry. However, working on assignments in class has challenged me to engage more deeply. I found painting to be my preferred medium, as it allows easy correction of mistakes. Through vibrant landscapes of flowers and mountains, I've learned to appreciate the texture of paint up close. Ultimately, art is a therapeutic process for me.

  2. My art statement • What can I say about art? Well I am not a person who is into it art but to admire it is different. I have toyed with art in the past but not enough to make it an everyday thing. Of course what I used was similar to embroidering. While I can say that I like to doing what I did when I toyed with I can say that doing art as an assignment is different. Cause then I put in a great effort into it rather then take my time. • While in this class, I preferred painting. I find it easier to use. If I make a mistake I can easily use white paint to correct it. I think painting flowers, mountains, or anything scenery are easy then to paint people. By examining any paint if permitted at close range I think the texture of the paint gives it a more realistic look.
