  2. To Divide Fractions: • Rewrite the first fraction. • Change the division sign to a multiplication sign. • Flip the second fraction upside down. • Multiply.

  3. Reciprocal • When you flip the second fraction, you are writing that fraction’s reciprocal. 3 5 5 3

  4. ÷ Example 1 1 1 2 3 Rewrite: 1 2 2 x = 1 3 3

  5. ÷ Example 2 4 4 5 9 Rewrite: 1 4 9 9 4 1 x = = 4 1 5 5 5

  6. ÷ Example 3 12 3 5 1 Rewrite: 20 4 12 5 20 x = = 1 1 3 1

  7. ÷ Example 4 1 2 6 1 Rewrite: 1 1 1 x = 6 2 12
