Objectives • To convey knowledge on the subject of programming. • Inform the students of potential gains from knowing how to code. • Briefly demonstrate psuedocodefor better understanding of programming. • Demonstrate how programming can be used to problem-solve and simplify complex occurrences. • Show examples of programming and what it can do such as (Angry birds, Temple Run, Cut the Rope, Jetpack Joyride, etc…).

  3. What’s our environment? • Hackety Hack! • Why? • Simple interface (GUI) • Simple to code • Easy to explain • Easy to teach (Hopefully) • Works on Mac and Windows • It’s animated (Kids will love it!)

  4. When, Where and How? • When: June 20th • Where: At WJB 2010 • Time: TBA • How: Interactivity with a touch of fun.

  5. Conclusion • We hope to convey programming in a positive and effective manner. Following our objectives should and will captivate the imagination of the students. Who knows maybe one of these students will be the next Steve Jobs, Dennis Ritchie, Bill Gates, or Mark Zuckerberg.
