  2. Features/Characteristics of a Glacier • A Glacier is a huge mass of ice that flows slowly over land or sea. • A glacier is commonly white and made of ice. It may appear dirty near the end due to debris that it is carrying or pushing. • Glaciers can be massive in size stretching across continents, or may be small sitting on top of mountains.

  3. How are Glaciers formed, and where they are formed • <<<They form in the cold polar regions and in high mountains. • A glacier forms as layers of snow build up. The weight of the snow packs together the bottom layers and forms ice. • Glaciers can also form Ice caves which are really beautiful>>>>>> • Glaciers are formed mainly in areas of high altitude or high latitude. Mostly upland areas.

  4. Famous Glacier and where it's Located. There is one Glacier that is really famous and it's the glacier that sank the titanic on April 10th,1910. This Glacier is located in the Atlantic coast of Canada. The Glacier that sank the Titanic in April 10,1910. This Glacier was approximated at 50 to 100 feet high and 200 to 400 feet long.

  6. Summary • Glaciers can be as big as a continent, or small enough to be on top of a mountain. • Some Glaciers can transform into beautiful caves and tunnels. • Glaciers are formed in polar regions and on high mountains. • Glaciers can be in water or on land, it depends where they are formed.
