  2. Looking Back 20 Years • 1990 to 2010 has seen continued growth • Burnet County peaked in 2000 • Early 1990s growth occurred away from the lakes • Growth has occurred along lakes since 1997

  3. Last 2 Fiscal Years • Quarterly comparisons indicate approximately a 25% decrease • FY 09/10 fourth quarter comparisons are nearly even

  5. Location of Growth • The Lakes • Precinct 1- Park Road 4, Tobeyville and The Lakes • Precinct 2- Scattered • Precinct 3- Whitewater Springs, Rio Ancho and along CR 330 and Hwy 29 • Precinct 4- Double Horn and along the lake

Building permit numbers indicate Burnet County unincorporated areas should increase by 130 dwellings in 2010 Construction cost estimates indicate near $20 million in new construction for 2010 Nearly 6 to 1 site built homes compared to manufactured homes (63 site built vs. 11 MH) with 6 commercial sites

  7. Outlook for 2011 • There are have several developments in the planning stage (2 in precinct 4 and 1 in precinct 1) • Multiple inquires on proposed home sites along the lakes • Cautiously Optomistic!
