INTRODUCTION • When you neglect to perform hull cleaning, the boat is said to slow down and doing maneuver will also become a hard thing. • Fouling will be developed over time and this eventually increases the friction in the boat. • This can be held as the reason for slowing down of the boat.

PROCESS IN HULL CLEANING • The removal of fouling is the main activity here and this is done with the help of a brush, soft sponge, scraper and more. • The divers focus to clean every part of the boat including all the fittings. • In addition to, the running gear will also be checked and when cleaning is necessary for the running gear that will also be performed.

  5. DIFFICULTIES INVOLVED • Generally, the hull will be brushed to remove the particles. There won’t be any grip for the divers to do this work. • The tides will prevent you from being stable in a position which is comfortable for you during working. • The place will be dark and you will not be visually strong to do the cleaning. When going deeper and deeper in water, it would be hard for you to see anything.
