  2. Event Brief On March 31st 2012 , the Swiss Chamber of Commerce, will host its Annual Ball. The theme will be “Being Shanghaied – Port of Shanghai: Gate to the World” Target is to immerse guests into the 1920 world of Shanghai through actors, props and setup decoration. Starting from a fabulous opportunity to take a memorable image in front of the 1920 Shanghai skyline backdrop to meeting sailors, shoe shine, Erhu players and cigarette girls from that time, the atmosphere created will immerse the guest into 1920 Old Shanghai.

  5. Entrance and Photo Opportunity • In order to decorate the entrance, backdrop showing old Shanghai photos will be displayed in the Foyer to create a fun photo opportunity.

  7. Old Shanghai Music Band The music will be played an Old Shanghai Jazz Band creating an authentic old style feel. This band can interlace performance and as a background music when guests are walking in and create the feel that they entered a 1920 Dance Hall.

  8. Staging The stage will be designed with old Shanghai elements using a backdrop and a screen and design elements and some old style seating. Two projector screens on the both side and three backdrops

  14. DJ - Let’s Dance A DJ will bring the event back to “now” combining dance music from 70ies, 80ies and 90ies with a few fun 1920 dance tunes for guests to enjoy.
