  1. The mystery of the love note By AmayaD.

  2. Chapter One It was 3:30, and I was in science class, in Mr. Chalfant’s room with the rest of my class, learning about Mercury. I love science, and I really like Mr. Chalfant!

  3. Ten minutes later I went to my real classroom , Mrs . Regenski’s class. As soon as I got in there I started to pack up and I noticed there was a note on my shoe. It read: I Lupis Writer

  4. I was very curious. I couldn’t think of anything else the whole day. When I unwrapped the note again, I noticed something… there was a piece of gum! How come I didn’t see that before?

  5. I didn’t eat much for dinner that night because I was too busy thinking about the love note.

  6. Chapter 2 At recess the next day, I played jump rope with Emily and Anna. Olivia came over and I noticed she was chewing gum. I asked her, “Where were you yesterday at 3:30?” She mumbled something, so I asked her again, “Where were you?”

  7. “In Mrs. Regenski’s classroom, “ she said quietly. “What seat?” “Cody’s seat.” “Who sat next to you?” I continued to question. “Umm…Ashanti,” she replied nervously.

  8. That night I cracked the case. It wasn’t easy, but I figured since the note was under my desk someone nearby must have written it. My suspects were: Olivia, Ashanti, Anna, and Bradley. I knew it couldn’t have been Bradley, and Anna had been absent from school for a week because she had pneumonia.

  9. That left Ashanti and Olivia as suspects without alibis. I suspected it was Ashanti, she had been hanging around Lupis ever since he started kicking home runs in kick ball.

  10. I knew it probably wasn’t Olivia because she had been paying all of her attention to Ryan. I decided it was time to question Ashanti.

  11. The next day at recess I confronted Ashanti with my suspicion. She confessed, but I swore that wouldn’t tell anyone, that’s why I have changed the names in this story.
