  1. Capital Semester internship program in Washington D.C. (1 of 3) • The Political Journalism track of the Capital Semester program, sponsored by The Fund for American Studies is held each fall and spring in Washington, DC. This academic internship program is for undergraduates seeking to obtain professional experience in the fields of journalism, communications and public relations. The Institute combines substantive internships, courses for academic credit from Georgetown University, career development activities, site briefings and lectures led by working journalists. This fast-paced, fifteen-week residential program provides students from around the world with opportunities to gain the edge in today’s competitive job market and graduate school admissions, and experience the excitement of Washington first-hand. • Applications are being accepted for Fall 2011 & Spring 2012. FINAL DEADLINE FOR FALL 2011 – JUNE 1, 2011.
