Managing Project Budgets, Time, and Expenses in TeamDynamix

  2. Budget • To set your project budget, fill out the budget section in the General tab in the Project Explorer.

  3. Expenses • In the Expenses tab of the Project Explorer, you can select the expense types that are assigned to the individual project by clicking the type and selecting Add.

  4. Expenses • To change Estimated budget for the expense type, select edit, fill in appropriate amount, then save.

  5. Time • In the Time Accounts tab, you can select which Time Types you allow your team members to choose when updating hours. • These are added the same way Expense Types are added.

  6. Time and Expense Reports • Time and Expenses are submitted through the Time & Expense application. • Tasks and issues will be automatically populated by team member, with reported hours already filled in if they updated these tasks/issues previously.

  7. Time and Expense Reports • To add time, select the Add Time button and then fill in with the appropriate information in the box at the bottom of the window. • Time can be added to tasks or issues

  8. Time and Expense Reports • To add expenses, select the Add Expense button. • Fill out the information at the bottom of the screen and save.

  9. Time and Expense Reports • When completed, submit the report for approval. • Approval is decided on a project by project basis in the General tab of the project explorer.

  10. Approving Time & Expenses • To approve or deny time and expenses, select Pending Reports and then click on the Time Period to show the time card.

  11. Approving Time & Expenses • Select the approve or reject bubble for each item and then save.

  12. Time & Expenses • These reported times and expenses make up your Actual Hours and Actual Expenses. • You can find Time & Expense specific reports in the Finance application.
