Keynote EC DGTREN • Happy to see cooperation, flexibility and coherency from two EC funded projects with different perspectives; • Episode 3 and CAATS II are providing the material expected; Single Sky will aim to make best use of the results. • Validation is indispensable to prepare for deployment. Keynote SESAR JU • Emphasized that it is time to move on from Methodology Development to Methodology Application; • Episode 3 and CAATS II are currently the two most important projects in this area; • People involved in both projects are indispensable because they gathered a lot of knowledge about: • Operational Concept • Validation Methods • Performance Frame • Case Based Approach • Maturity Assessment Episode 3 - CAATS II Final Dissemination Event

CAATS II • What was done? • Elaboration of the case based approach and guidance material; • Case specific transition criteria supporting maturity assessment • How was it done? • Involvement of experts of different ATM areas • Flexibility to coop successfully with new impulses • Coordination with SJU Episode 3 - CAATS II Final Dissemination Event
