  3. Do you have needs? • Custodial – sign book on Jayne’s desk • Technological – contact Justin via phone call, email or IM • Classroom supplies and copies – see Jayne

  4. Disclosures • Every class should have a published disclosure (paper or digital) • Administrative approval before distributed to students. • A-M send to VandenBosch • N-Z send to Patterson

  5. Meet the Teachers • Monday Aug. 22 • 3:30- 6:00 pm • Be available to meet and greet students and parents. • Table for clubs and groups? NJHS, MESA, PTSA etc

  6. BLOGS • BLOGS are a great way to communicate with students and parents. • HUGE incentives to use BLOG • Refresher course Monday 10 AM in new thin client lab

  7. 7TH Grade orientation • Tuesday Aug. 23 • 7th graders only • 7:50-12:01 • 7th-8th-9th graders • 11:30-2:32

  8. Cool School • My School’s Cool – Newgate Mall competition • $$$ big money for winners • Currently in 2nd place (behind SandRidge) • Teacher encouragement was key to BHS success • Bonus points for info on teachers’ blogs

  9. Extra Curricular • Sign up for activities • Minimum of 2. Paid for more

  10. MyGrades • Class rolls should be accessible thru MyStudent • Use FFM • MyTeams • Green Slips

  11. Teacher goals • Must have one DATA DRIVEN goal for each quarter. (part of PLCs) - More info later • Other professional goal(s) meet with assigned administrator on Evaluation Schedule.

  12. Acceptable Use Policy • AUP by Sept. 8 • Students through English classes? • Access through WSD website>Departments>Technical Services>AUP (User name and password)

  13. Shared folders • Access through Outlook shared folders. (see end of ppt ) • Faculty handbook/Student handbook • Master schedule • Evaluation Schedule • Bus Duty/ Lunch schedule /Bell Schedules • Test data – CRTS, DWA, UALPA, etc
