  3. How ? Many advertisements focus on wordplay to get their message to stick. Wordplay? -often they use Puns, and Phonetic mix ups.

  4. Is that it? That is simply the word manipulation aspect. -There are many other ways to advertise For example…..

Is that it? the demo – “stain remover” show the problem – “i’ve fallen and I can’t get up” symbolize the problem – cold symptoms turn person into ogre symbolize the benefit – laxative and old faithful comparison – Windex exemplary story – the vw crashing ad benefit causes story – Axe effect testimonial – real people losing weight ongoing charecters or celebs – Taco bell dog, associated user imagery – people you want to hang out with, nike unique personality property – apple genius commercials parody or borrowed format – geico small house ad

  6. Ok, Those make sense It actually is much more complex than those simple ideas. The companies will use very specific words to convince you that their product is the best. Can you spot what is wrong with these?

  14. What about no Ads? Some Companies do not need advertising For example, Costco or In n Out Burger -They rely on word of mouth, and on the quality of their product.

  15. Wait list, shmaitlist The Austin Martin DBS has an astonishing 28 month wait time for a car. Some very high end companies Have a wait list that stretches for years.

  16. Why does this matter? Without advertising, there would be a much fairer playing ground for new companies. But alas, Advertising is here to stay -Without it, modern companies would have a hard time surviving
