Safety underpins everything we do • Notable safety achievements 2012/13; Sellafield Ltd exceeded 5.5 million hours without a lost time accident • Contracting community played a significant part in safety performance improvement • Contractor safety performance reached 10-year high; no lost time accident for more than 4 million hours • A total of 3 lost time accidents (LTAs) 2012/13 against 9 recorded in 2011/12; and LTA rate down to 0.09 from 0.33 NO MARKING REQUIRED

Environment • We work hard to minimise the environmental impact of our operations • In 2012 we had an environmental event run of 100 days – need to focus on working towards a longer run • We delivered our beach monitoring programme to schedule during 2012/13 completing 150 hectares using our specialist contractor Nuvia. • Site wildlife exclusion and management programmes in place.
