He is a columnist for America Online and Golf Magazine and a contributor to the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal. He is a commentator on National Public Radio and an essayist for CBS Sports. He lives in Potomac, Maryland, with his wife Mary, and their son and daughter.

She lives in Lilburn, GA with her mother and pet dog Fluffy.
