  3. Coach Jerrell Clemmons Texas History (Pre-AP & On Level) A112 • Resident of Allen for 16 years. • 5th year at Ereckson. Previous taught at Rice Middle in Plano. • I also am a coach for Girl’s Athletics. Previous 4 years as a Boys Football and Basketball Coach. • I graduated from UTD with a degree in Accounting. • My Wife is also a teacher. She teaches 5th grade math at Green. • I have two daughters in AISD. My youngest daughter, Wendy, is at Boon and my middle daughter, Sally, is an eighth grader here at Ereckson.

  4. Ms. Valerie Pellegrino Tx History A111 I was born and raised in upstate NY in the beautiful Adirondack Mtns. I have a Master’s in Reading and am certified to teach K-12. I have 19 years experience in education. I have a 1st & 2nd grader that both go to Norton. Sammy, our Maltese/Dachshund is our fierce protector. I love to hike and explore new places. I look forward to working with my new students!

Ms. Liza Samiani (Long Term Substitute for Alison Vick) A126 -From Endicott, NY (upstate NY) -Graduated from SUNY Oswego with a B.S. in Adolescent Education and a History Minor -Moved to Texas in June to explore new opportunities and continue my journey in education. I look forward to working with the students of Ereckson MS this fall!

Coach Chase Schubert Texas History (Pre-AP & On Level) A113 -Grew up in Allen (AHS Class of 2009) -Abilene Christian University (B.S. in Secondary Social Studies Education) -Previously taught in Abilene, Texas: -9th Grade World Geography (Pre-AP) -12th Grade Economics -First year at Ereckson MS! -I also coach Boy’s Athletics (Football, Basketball, and Track)

  8. Grading Policy (per EMS History Dept. & Allen ISD guidelines) 7th On Level TX History: 40% Tests & Projects 35% Quizzes 25% Daily Assignments 7th Pre-AP TX History: 50% Tests & Projects 30% Quizzes 20% Daily Assignments

Late-work Policy (per EMS History Dept. & Allen ISD guidelines) 7th On Level TX History: If a student does not turn in an assignment by the due date, they will have an additional 5 school days to turn it in for a maximum grade of a 70. If the assignment is still missing after the fifth day, it will become a 0.

Late-work Policy (per EMS History Dept. & Allen ISD guidelines) 7th Pre-AP TX History: If a student does not turn in an assignment by the due date, they will have an additional 3 school days to turn it in for a maximum grade of a 70. If the assignment is still missing after the third day, it will become a 0.

  11. Department Tutoring If a student needs/wants any extra help outside of their scheduled class time, they are always more than welcome to go to tutoring before or after school. There are tutoring schedules posted outside of each Tx History teacher’s doors. Ms. Pellegrino and Ms. Schwegman can tutor any 7th grade Tx History student during those tutoring times. (Coach Clemmons and Coach Schubert are unavailble for tutoring as they have athletics everyday before and after school).

  12. Canvas Beginning in 7th grade, students across Allen ISD begin using an online learning platform called “Canvas”, through which they can complete assignments, engage in discussion boards, take quizzes, print off notes/previous assignments, etc. They will need to be comfortable with using Canvas, as the program will be used throughout their Middle School and High School curricula. To log on to Canvas, students should open Google Chrome and enter the following url: CANVAS.ALLENISD.ORG
