Conversations to spark change • A space to link up with friends, colleagues, etc. • Discuss issues that are of interest to you and your group • My Miami Story conversations get people talking about issues in The Miami Foundation’s Our Miami Report. • Spark ideas and action to make Miami-Dade a better place to live MyMiamiStory.org • #MyMiamiStory

  4. Theme: 2020 is here … where are we? Think about upcoming elections, the Census, evolving neighborhoods, climate change… These conversations let us discuss the community priorities and policies that will define Miami-Dade’s future. MyMiamiStory.org • #MyMiamiStory

  5. Event Day • Event day – set for Tuesday, October 15th. It can take place during breakfast, lunch, dinner or any time in between (you set the time that works best for you). • Invitations – friends, colleagues, family, folks within your network who need to meet … anyone! We provide graphics. MyMiamiStory.org • #MyMiamiStory

  6. Toolkit and Conversation Guide • Fact Cards – To help you get things going, we have compiled facts about the community from The Miami Foundation’s Our Miami Report. They can help start the conversation. As the Host, you will receive these Fact Cards prior to your conversation. • Open-Ended Conversation – There are no wrong answers. Everyone has a right to share their thoughts; that’s what makes these conversations so engaging. MyMiamiStory.org • #MyMiamiStory

  7. My Miami Story Swag • My Miami Story Swag – As our special way of saying thank you for sharing your Miami Story, hosts and participants will receive uniquely-designed tees. We will also be providing other cool swag/gear such as wrist bands and stickers. We have a limited number, so this will be on a first come, first served basis. MyMiamiStory.org • #MyMiamiStory

  8. Wrapping Up – Take the Survey! • So we can learn about your experience and record your thoughts, please take part in the short survey that will be sent to you via e-mail, or can be done online immediately following the conversation. • In addition, please encourage all of your guests to complete the survey as well. The results will be compiled by our research partners and help local civic leaders and changemakers better understand how Miamians experience their community. MyMiamiStory.org • #MyMiamiStory
