  1. Has Google Won the Smart Display Race? Home Hub

  2. What's New with Google? At its hardware event, Google recently introduced a number of new devices. Aside from a new Chrome OS tablet and the anticipated Pixel 3 and 3XL handsets, a new smart display called the Home Hub joins the original Home, Home Max, and Home Mini. It was only the announcement, and Google's already ahead of the race. Aside from having the Google brand in its favour, with a price tag of only USD 149, Home Hub is about USD 80 cheaper than its competitors like Echo Show and Facebook Portal. Additionally, it can also show Youtube videos, which Show is incapable of.

  3. On both price and functionality, Google Home Hub is expected to sell fairly better than all other smart displays. The most viable option for third parties making smart displays will be to target specific market segments or focus on enhancing features; if they hope to contend with Home Hub.

  4. Why It Matters to Marketers Sales of smart speakers have already reached more than 50 million, yet it so far remains not to fare well as a marketing tool. With the introduction of screen features, however, an expanded user experience anticipates more opportunities for branding and commerce. If subsequently, smart displays receive a universal acceptance in households, then these devices could become an essential channel for the marketing field.
