  2. How many times do you go online every day? Once a day or twice a day? Perhaps you've been unconsciously turning on your mobile phone-- maybe even during work hours--just to scroll through social networking sites and you don't even notice it's become a habit. You're not alone. According to The Manifest, nearly a third of people interact on social media more than 10 times a day! It isn't much of a shock to learn that a good number of people, from the youngest to seniors, are steadily growing more and more attached to the features of social media. Finding others with similar interests as you do is made easy through the actions of liking, posting, or sharing content. In fact, 95% of social media users post regularly, and there's even 42% who post at least once a day.

  3. This is a good era of opportunity for marketers. Given that there is a good percentage of users who will likely notice a brand through scrolling, it will be a wise move to catch the attention of a user through engaging images. According to The Manifest, about 69% of people post images on social media as this encourages more activity than text alone.

  4. As for a good place to market, Facebook still stays atop the most social platform usage. Youtube and Instagram are growing faster than ever, however, and have 16% and 14% market shares, respectively. And there you have it: a quick run through of statistics on social media usage. Understanding social media habits such as shown will greatly help anyone who would like to seek out their own target segments. This will help focus your marketing efforts as well as improve your campaign return on investment.
