European Twisted Mass Collaboration: Report on Physics Plans from Grenoble, Orsay, and Saclay

This report details our participation in the European Twisted Mass Collaboration (ETMC), highlighting the production of unquenched twisted mass configurations on APENEXT racks in Rome. We explore significant physics themes such as nucleon masses, form factors, and meson distribution functions. The collaboration spans various computing centers, including initiatives in Orsay on charmed physics and Marseille on strange quarks and mesons. Our work benefits from the ILDG GRID and includes gauge configuration uploads and downloads via the IN2P3 computing center in Lyon.

  1. ILDG 2007 French Site Report Physics Plans Grenoble-Orsay-Saclay: We participate in the European Twisted mass collaboration (ETMC): Unquenched twisted mass configurations are produced on two french apeNEXT racks installed in Rome (international computing laboratory). Analysis is done in various computing centers and PC clusters in the labs. Physics themes: Nucleon masses, form factors, distribution functions, meson distribution functions.

  2. Orsay: Charmed physics (decay form factors) with Nf=2 Wilson-clover quarks. Marseille: Strange quarks and starnge mesons: quark masses, decay constants chiral couplings (collaboration with Wuppertal).

  3. Use of the ILDG GRID • We are part of the LATFOT (continental Europe) virtual organisation • Downloading and uploading gauge configurations • A storage element has been installed in the IN2P3 computing center in Lyon. We upload our gauge configuration there. • A second storage element is under preparation in Orsay.
