Enhancing Access and Services for Young Parents in Education Program Relocation

The Young Parent Program (YPP) serves a critical role for students who are young parents, with 40% dual enrolled in comprehensive high schools. Relocating YPP to Granite Connection will enhance accessibility to flexible learning options and services, including on-site career counseling, transportation to schools, individualized learning labs, and child care for infants and toddlers. This strategic move aims to provide young parents with essential educational tools, enabling them to graduate and participate in extra-curricular activities more effectively. A new budget plan indicates significant savings while expanding options for students.
