  4. Recently PMW-350 and PMW-320 were released in the XDCAM EX family, targeting low budgets B&I content creation customers who want affordable solutions The PMW-500 is the top-end model of Sony’s memory shoulder camcorders In addition to the XDCAM EX codecs, the PMW-500 includes MXF based memory formats up to HD422 50Mbps, mainly targeting BC market for ENG operation PMW-500 Product Concept SONY PROFESSIONAL

  5. The PMW-500 is not a replacement of PDW-700 or PDW-F800, but based on customer demand, offers a choice of High speed or Low cost recording media in many codecs from DVCAM, IMX, HD420 to HD422 PMW-500 Product Concept SONY PROFESSIONAL

  6. Full HD 2/3“ Power HAD FX CCD imagers with superior picture quality such as F12 (50Hz) sensitivity and 59dB S/N ratio Low power consumption (only approx. 29W of main body) and light weight (only approx. 3.4kg of main body) Well matured MPEG HD codec technology in both MXF (OP1A) and .mp4 wrappers PMW-500 Key Features & Benefits SONY PROFESSIONAL

  7. Similar functionality to the PMW-700/F800 at a more affordable price SxS Memory cards provide a superior level of reliability and high speed Optional SD support with IMX and DVCAM formats recording and playback allowing a smooth migration from your current SD operation to future HD operation PMW-500 Key Features & Benefits SONY PROFESSIONAL

  8. Target Market Broadcasters, Production, BC Freelancers XDCAM Phase-3 users who are considering memory media operation additionally to the current professional disc operation at the same operation points of file wrapper, codec, metadata, etc For B&I customers who want to use CCD imager rather than CMOS SONY PROFESSIONAL
