  6. Regional Breakdown by Gender Coaching remains a female-dominated profession; however, there are more male coaches coming through in Asia and Latin America.

  19. Did the Global Economic Downturn Bring Coaches Together? More ICF Members (36%) than non-ICF Members (25%) have joined a professional coaching organization in the past 12 months. Base: 9,810

  20. Regulation of Coaching More than half of the coaches surveyed felt that coaching should become regulated. Among those coaches, and those who remained unsure, the majority felt that professional coaching associations were best placed to handle this responsibility.
