  5. Arkansas River Corridor Master Plan The Greater Tulsa Area communities recognize that the Arkansas River Corridor is an important natural resource that could be developed to stimulate immense private investment and greatly improve the quality of life for current and future generations.

  6. Current O&M budgets inadequate to meet recreation demands. Seeking public partnerships/private investments to meet demands. Example: Skiatook Lake Cross Timbers Development Public/Private Development for Increased Recreation

  7. McClellan Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System 12 Foot Channel • Project authorized under PL 108-137 in 2004. • Currently 90% of the system is already 12 foot deep. • Scope: Increase the minimum channel depth from 9 foot to 12 foot, modify the existing flow management plan, and perform channel maintenance dredging. Provide environmental mitigation.
