  1. 2. Word Zone Focus: Decoding and Word Recognition Word Assessment: Here you see a list of words and hear one pronounced. You can click on the word as soon as you hear it. If you get it wrong, it becomes a STUDY WORD! Once you have 5 study words, continue to the next activity. B Word Assessment Report: After you complete the Word Assessment, you can see a summary of how well you did. This report shows the number of words that you got correct, the number of words you missed, and the number that you answered correctly BUT were slow to answer.

  2. C. Word Clinic: • You read and record your study words. You get a special tip on reading the first word in the list, and then you make a recording of the word. D. Word Match: • After you record your study words, you match your recording with the correct word. You can also click on the word to have a sample sentence.

  3. E. Self Check: • You practice reading aloud and recording your study words and your review words. You read and record ten words in three rounds. In each round, you have time to record the words. F. Speed Challenge • This is similar to the Word Assessment Activity. You hear a word and click on it in the list provided, but you have less time to do so. G. REVIEW • You get extra practice with review words. These are words that you have already learned in other sections.
