Weekly Homework and Activities: January 23-27, 2012

This week's homework includes daily reading for 10-15 minutes, completion of math sheets, and engaging in a Tic Tac Toe activity. Students are to study spelling words, with a test on Friday. The focus is set on mastering sight words like "high," "add," and "plant," and students will be tested on spelling words such as "jelly" and "world."   1. YARBROUGH'S YAK Week of January 23, 2012 Homework Daily: Read, or have someone read to you for 10 – 15 minutes. Monday- Thursday: Complete math sheet, Tic Tac Toe, and study. Friday: ENJOY THE WEEKEND! Sight Words high every near add food between own below country plant Spelling Words Students will be tested on Friday and will have to write each word correctly. 1. jelly 2. belly 3. bunny 4. funny 5. furry 6. hurry 7. take 8. came 9. world 10. over FACT TESTS: For the rest of the year we will do doubles and then mixed up facts each week. Please review all the facts from 1 to 9. There will be another fact check in May. I am VERY happy to announce that 18 out of 20 mastered the test this time!
