Fabrication Process • The process begins with design on a program called iModela Creator, a software supplied from Roland DGA Co. • Various designs have been tested such as square, circular, linear, and dog bone. These designs are then sent to the iModela miniature milling machine where the design is etched into a 3.5cm by 7cm plate of acrylic. • There are two main options for the stamps; convex and concave. • The alignment screws are required so that the vacuum plate stays in place during the stamping process. • The vacuum plate is made in the same manner as the stamping plate. However, the vacuum design must be bigger than the stamping design. • One additional hole must be drilled in the middle of the design so that a tube can be connected for the vacuum.
