Brandon: There are many beautiful lakes in Washington State. Max: Baseball is America’s “National Pastime”. Like many other sports, people have organized groups that play baseball, known as Little Leagues. We play as the Boston Red Sox in the Thunderbird Little League.

Max: Baseball is America’s “National Pastime”. Like many other sports, people have organized groups that play baseball, known as Little Leagues. We play as the Boston Red Sox in the Thunderbird Little League.
Akash: The Microsoft campus is very near our school. The United States and Washington State flags fly along with the X-Box 360.
Bryan: If one looks closely from the deck of my house, a person can view the Seattle City skyline off in the distance.
Kristin: Washington is known as the Evergreen State. As you can see on a street by my home, there are many Evergreens.
Grace: Phantom Lake is called this, because it gets very foggy and spooky during the winter months.
Isaku: Sailing is a favorite recreational activity in the Pacific Northwest during the spring and summer seasons.
Robert: The white Rhodendron near my house is one of many varieties of our Washington State flower.
Andrew: Safeco Field is the home of our baseball team, the Seattle Mariners.
Pedraam: Basketball is a favorite after-school recreational activity enjoyed by many kids!
Ryan: Westlake Mall is one of Seattle’s many shopping Malls; from the top you can see the streets of Seattle.
Raphi: Families enjoy hiking together on weekends and vacation and viewing mountain streams and waterfalls.
Itai: Kids often practice their basketball skills and moves on home basketball courts.
Amanda: The troll under Seattle’s Fremont Bridges is a popular tourist attraction to climb on.
Emily: Seattle’s most famous tourist attraction is the Space Needle built during the World Fair in 1962. It even has a nice rotating restaurant at the top with a wondrous view of Seattle from all directions.
Washington State has many wonderful snow skiing areas close to where we live.
Gina: The Western Rhodendron is the Washington State flower. Their gorgeous blooms bring color to the rainy Pacific Northwest each spring.
Kanika: The view from my house allows my family to see the Seattle skyline and the bridge over Lake Washington between Bellevue and Seattle.
Christopher: From the deck of my house we can see some of the many Evergreen trees and beautiful flowering shrubs such as Rhododendron and Azaleas.
Emily: The Rhododendron come in different varieties and colors such as pink, which is shown here as well as yellow, purple, white, red and orange.
