Overfishing • Overfishing occurs when fishing activities reduce fish stoks below an acceptable level. • There are two types of overfishing: • Biological • Bioeconomical
Biological overfishing occurs when fishing mortality has reached a lever where the stock biomass has negative marginal growth. • Bioeconomic overfishing additionally considers the cost of fishing and defines overfishing as a situation of negative marginal growth of resouce rent.
The amount of construction: • There are a lot of construction.The people dont think with the consequences on the enivronment.
Impact of tourism: • Majorca was once a quiet green island. But the tourism has changed it a lot. • Forty years ago it became a centre for tourism. • The turists had moved throgh the island and some of them had build seconds homes in the island growing the construction and braking and killing plants etc.
Beaches are being damaged as every day huge quantities of sand are accidentally taken back to hotels on people's feet. • The boom has brought traffic jams and pollution, too. • Too much people coming on holiday means too much rubbish and a critical lack of water.
