AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a school-wide academic support program aimed at preparing students for college eligibility and success. It primarily targets minority, rural, and low-income students who lack a college-going tradition in their families. AVID is designed for all students, not just those who are struggling. Through strategic skill development in organization, critical thinking, and collaboration, AVID students are better equipped to succeed in college and beyond. Over 80% of AVID participants receive acceptance to four-year universities, marking a significant impact on educational equity.
