  9. CRISIS Mrs. White is frantically trying to unlock the top bolt downstairs… Mr. White is upstairs searching in the dark for the paw…

  10. CLIMAX Mr. White finds the paw first! The outcome of the story can be predicted!

  11. As soon as Mr. White finds the paw, we know what is likely to occur. CRISIS/CLIMAX

  12. FALLING ACTION Mr. White makes his third wish…probably for Herbert to be dead again. The White’s run out into the deserted street. A street lamp flickers.
