  2. Don’t Monkey Around! You’re deep in a Borneo jungle . You’re looking for an endangered animal, the orangutan. A bush moves behind you. You turn; you stare. An angry looking orange ape walks out of the bush. You run. Maybe this trip wasn’t the best idea.

  3. Livin’ Good • They live in the jungles of Borneo and Sumatra. • They live in nests that are rebuilt almost every day. • In the jungle, they are forced to ignore heat, humidity, and 8 inch floods. • They are built for trees! They love to swing.

  4. Seconds Please! • They love to eat a variety of things, including: figs, plums, mangos, soil, leaves, insects, eggs, and their personal favorite is the durian.

  5. I’m cute. Look at Me! • They have orangish-redish hair which can be in a terrible state without them noticing or caring. • Their hair can be any shade of red. • 8 foot arms and curved hands and feet make it easy to swing from branch to branch.

  6. I’m Melting, I’m Melting • Orangutans are endangered. • There are only about 15,000 left.
