  2. Pendahuluan Bismillahirahmanirahim…. “The Implementation of SPC in Malaysian Manufacturing Companies” Dalamjurnaltersebutmenjelaskantentangpenerapan SPC di 8 perusahaanmanufakturmalaysia. Dari perusahaantersebutdicariinformasitentanglatarbelakng, aplikasidaninformasiumummengenaipenerapan SPC dalamperusahaantersebut. Mengetahuitipadankarakteristikdari software SPC yang digunakan. Selainitu, mengetahuipertumbuhan, permasalahan, dankelemahandari software, kelebihandanpengaruhdariperkembangan software untuk SPC.

  3. SPC (Statistical Process Control) SPC adalahsuatuproses yang digunakanuntukmengontrolkualitassuatuproduk. Mulaidiperkenalkanoleh SHEWART saatmengembangkan diagram kontroldanmengapliaksikankonsepstatistikdalamprosesmanufaktur. Dalam SPC jugadigunakan Seven tools dalammengidentifikasimasalah, yaitu : Pareto Diagram Cause and efect Diagram Stratification Chek shit Histogram Scatter Diagram Graph and control Chart

  4. Penerapan SPC dalam SMEs Dalamhalini SPC diterapkankepada “Small and Medium Sized Enterprise (SMEs)” di Malaysia. SMEs merupakansektorterpentigdalampertumbuhansuatunegara, yang sudahmenggunakansistemekonomi modern. Berbagaipendapatmengenaitugas SMEs sebagaiberikut : 1. MenurutPresidenAmerika 1998 : “First, SMEs are an integral part of the renewal process that pervades and defines market economies. New and small firms play a crucial role in experimentation and innovation that leads to technological change and productivity growth. Second, small firms are the essential mechanism by which millions enter the economic and social mainstream of American society. Small businesses enable millions, including women, minorities, and immigrants, to access the dream of economic growth, equal opportunity and upward mobility” 2. MenurutMahatir Mohamed : “SMEs have an important role to play in generating employment opportunities, in strengthening industrial linkages, in penetrating markets and generating export earnings. They have a crucial role as a spawning ground for the birth of tomorrow’s entrepreneurs. The Government will devise appropriate assistance schemes and will seek to raise the level of management expertise, technological know-how and skills of the employees in this very important and in many ways neglected sector of our economy. The SMEs will be one of the primary foundations for our future industrial thrust. The Government is fully committed to its healthiest development.”

KeuntungandanKelemahan SMEs Kentungan : • Strukturmerekadatardankeputusan yang cepatsehinggapelaksanaanmya pun cepatdanaliraninformasinyacepatkarenaperkembanganalatkomunikasi • Mudahdisesuikandengan culture yang adamemberikansebuahpondasi yang kuatuntukperubahan. • Tingginyapengaruhperubahandapatmemeliharakeberlansunganperkembangan culture. Kekurangan : • Kurangnyakemampuandanilmupengetahuandapatmempengaruhiperkembangan staff danpelatihan • Kurangnyasumberdanadapatmempengaruhiinvestasidalamproduk • Pemimpinbukanlagidelegasidanmencobamengontrolsetiapaspekbisnis yang dapatmengganggumotivasipekerja, kerjatim, danpihak-pihak yang terlibat.

  8. Kesimpulan Berdasarkantabeltersebutdapatdisimpulkanmengenaipenerapan SPC di 8 perudahaantersebut. Perusahaan A, B, E dan G merupakanperusahaan yang menerapkansistem SPC secarakeseluruhan. Untukperusahaan E dan G menerapkan Web-Based SPC sistem. Sedangkanperusahaan D, F, H menggunakansistem SPC melalui Excel danperusahaan C dengansistem manual. Kesimpulannyadalamkenyataanyapenerapan SPC sangatsulituntuk SMEs karenperusahaannyasangatkecildandana yang tidakterlalubesar. Sedangkanpenerapan SPC sendiridibutuhkankecanggihantekhnologidalampenggunannya agar perkembangandisetiapperusahaaanberjalandenganbaik. Selainitu, SMEs banyak yang kurangdalamhalpendidikandanpelatihandalammenggunakan SPC.
