  3. Titus 2:12 and 13 • “…training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.”

  4. I. HIS COMING SHOULD INSURE YOUR RESOLVE • A. The promise we affirm • Acts 1 “…10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”.” • B. The process we accept

  5. II. HIS COMING SHOULD INSPIRE YOUR READINESS • A. There is no time to waver • Luke 9:51, where it says of Jesus that “he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem.” • B. There is no time to waste

  6. III. HIS COMING SHOULD INFLUENCE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS • A. The attitude we must resist • Ephesians 6:12: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” • B. The appointment we must remember
