  5. Background • We usually walked past a fried meat ball shop owned by an elderly woman. Watching her lifting a 20 liter water container then bending down and massaging her back with a painful face. We noticed that she had got a backache. We asked her about the cause of her back pain. She told us that she was always very painful any time she lifted the heavy container. At this point, we came up with the idea that we should have the instrument for lifting the water container that is convenient and helps saving our labour

  6. Objectives 1. Invent the instrument to lift water container so that people need not labour to lift it up. 2. The instrument can be used to pour water down quickly and conveniently. 3. Effortless lifting will be good for users’ health.

  7. Methods of the Innovation • Make the instrument frame which consists of a base, a shaft, a lever and a handle of the frame which are made of metal pipes bent and welded together. • Cut 2 metal sheets of 4 x 30 cm and 2 sheets of 4 x 40 cm. Bend and weld them together to form a base. • Bend a pipe with a 25 cm in diameter and 40 cm in length and weld it to the base to form a shaft used for holding the container. • Prepare a loop for holding the neck of the container. Drill a hold in a 0.75 cm in diameter and 20 meter long steel rod, bend and weld it to the loop shaft. • Weld the loop shaft to the base and the lever. • Install 2 small wheels to the frame and shaft of the instrument.

  8. Usages • Move the instrument towards the 20 liter water container. Push the base to enclose it. • Move the handle to lock the container.

  9. Put the loop around the neck of the container. • Push the lever to lift it up.

  10. To pour water, move the lever from the back of the frame forward.

  11. Conclusion and Suggestions • To lift the water container, the Labour Saving Lever can replace human labour very well. • Transfer of the container to a particular place is quick and convenient. • Easily pouring and labour saving.
