  6. Closeout request • Subgranteeprovides . . . • Letter requesting closeout. • Includes request for de-obligationsfor unused funds. • Project Closeout Certification in LAHM. • Final Quarterly Report.

  8. Closeout request • GOHSEP reviews . . . • Documentation. • File completeness. • Compliance with State + Federal regulations. • GOHSEP requests FEMA Closeout. • Could include de-obligationfor ineligible items or cost underruns.

  9. Recordkeeping • Records must be maintained for three (3) years from the date of FEMA closeout of your last project associated with the specific disaster.

  10. Documentation • DOCUMENT! • DOCUMENT!! • DOCUMENT!!! To keep the funds you receive

  11. The most important part of Closeout is having supporting documentation. • Always keep in mind that your documentation is proof of eligibility for any Federal funds you have received and spent.
