  3. Key Questions 1. What are the cultural encounters experienced by Middle Eastern Christian migrant communities? 2. How do Middle Eastern Christian communities negotiate cultural encounters? 3. What are the implications of how cultural encounters with Middle Eastern Christian communities are perceived in the countries of residence? 4. How are cultural encounters translocated into new environments?

  4. Methodology/Approaches • Key but contested concepts – identity, minority, diaspora, transnationalism, integration • Quantitative – electronic survey • Qualitative • Interviews – communal actors & actors from countries of residence • Focus groups from communities • Participant observation

Key Outcomes Survey Workshops Conference including community representatives & relevant stakeholders Project Website ‘Middle Eastern Christians in Europe: History, Culture and Community’ booklet aimed at communities & stakeholders 8 journal articles, monograph & edited book Conference attendance & dissemination
