Leo Africanus Passport Directions
Folding Passport • Fold lengthwise (hot dog) – down the middle, crease • Fold widthwise (hamburger) – down the middle, crease • Fold widthwise (hamburger) – down the middle again, crease • Unfold to open flat • Refold widthwise (hamburger) – down the middle, crease
Cutting Slit • Make PARTIAL cut along center mid line FOLD LINE CUT LINE
REFOLDING THE PASSPORT WITH SLIT • Lay flat and refold along original lengthwise (hotdog) line • Holding the two ends lengthwise of the passport with the fold and slit side facing the ceiling • Gently push the ends of the passport in toward the center, until you form a book • Recrease the pages of the book along the new folds.
Official Passport • Create a seal for Spain in the 1490s • Remember Leo is from Muslim Spain • Below is an example of the current US Passport
