International Plus This course is recognized as part of International Plus • Students participating in the trip to Honduras will receive the following credit towards their International Plus certificate: • International Workshops: • Pre-departure conference facilitated by John Kaethler (includes The Art of Crossing Cultures and Assessing your International IQ) • The Global Health Chart and Dollar Street facilitated by Ana Sanchez and Rob Hawes • WHO Millennium Development Goals facilitated by Rob Hawes • Introduction to Honduras: Culture, Health and Society facilitated by Ana Sanchez • Career Services workshops: • Kabir Abdurrahman and Ildi Murray will deliver a workshop designed for CHSC 3F97 students. This workshop will incorporate resume writing, cover letter writing, job search skills, interview skills, and portfolio development • This workshop will be delivered on Friday July 30 from 9am – 12pm • Volunteer hours: • Students will receive 3 hours volunteer credit for their participation in giving a talk about Brock University to students and faculty at a Honduras university • Note: Students will be required to complete 47 additional volunteer hours to satisfy the requirements of International Plus

Changes in Field Program • Program has been adjusted to include more time in area hospitals; a visit to a cloud forest reserve • Social program (evenings) is being developed by Honduran students • New program will be available in the website shortly
