Expansion of Perryman 6 Power Plant: New 60 MW Generators and Emission Control Systems
The Perryman 6 project proposes the addition of ten new 60 MW simple-cycle CT units at the existing facility located south of Perryman, MD. This expansion aims to increase the nominal generating capacity from 355 MW to 955 MW, with a 600 MW addition. Enhanced air emission control measures will be implemented, utilizing technologies such as water injection, selective catalytic reduction (SCR), and thermal oxidation reaction (TOR) systems. Construction is expected to commence in Q3 2009, with completion projected within five years.
