  1. The Sword ThiefBy: Peter Lerangis Faith Fogle

  2. Setting • The book that I read for my report was The Sword Thief. • The story takes place in Tokyo in present day.

  3. Characters Dan Cahill: Dan is one of the main characters in this book. He is on a hunt for the 39 clues with his sister Amy. Amy Cahill: Amy is also one of the main characters. She is searching for the clues with her brother.

  4. Plot • The story is mainly about Amy and Dan Cahill going on the hunt for the 39 clues which will lead them to their grandmothers reward beyond measure.

  5. Problem • The problem is that Amy and Dan’s babysitter took their swords on the plane to Tokyo with her and they had the clues on them. Their cousins tricked them and Amy and Dan could not get on the plane to get the swords.

  6. Events • My two favorite events from this book were when Amy, Dan, and Alistair blew up the cave they were in. One of my other favorite parts from this book is when they were in the tunnels of Tokyo and two guards were chasing them.

  7. Recommendations • I recommend this book to others because I feel that it is a good book for third graders and it was very fun to read. • Also The Sword Thief is part of the 39 Clues series so if you are interested in this book there are many others like it.

  8. THE END! I hope the third graders get a chance to read it!
