  1. OIL LEAK TECH TIP This test can only be done as described in this tech tip We will show you how to identify oil leaks in 3 different ways • Smoke • Bubbling of oil with little or no smoke • Dripping of oil, no smoke at all Click the left side of your mouse to go to the next step

  2. Do NOT skip any of the following steps Attach the power leads to the battery Second Negative to chassis ground First Red to positive Remove dipstick. Insert smoke supply hose into the dipstick tube. Click the left side of your mouse to go to the next step

  3. Purge – Block - Pressure Remove the oil filler cap. Push the button on the remote starter cable. Wait until the fresh air is purged and the smoke is coming out like shown. Block all exits, as shown in the picture. Next reinstall oil filler cap. This will allow pressure to build. If pressure is not allowed to build the test will NOT work. If you skip this step you risk not finding the leak(s). Which could result in misdiagnosis Click the left side of your mouse to go to the next step

  4. Looking for Leaks Push the button on the remote starter cable. The system is now building pressure. At this time start looking for the following. Smoke Bubbling Dripping Remember that if you don’t build pressure, this could result in misdiagnosis Click the left side to exit
