Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville • The mission statement of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville is “to create simple, decent,affordable housing in partnership with low-income families, volunteers and the communities of greater Charlottesville.” • Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville was founded in 1991 and has built homes in partnership with more than 100 local low-income families

  3. Sunrise Park • In 2004, Habitat for Humanity purchased Sunrise Trailer Court, a 16 unit trailer park in Charlottesville • In 2010, the organization and many volunteers began to build affordable homes for Habitat Partner families • Today several of these homes have been completed and the Partner Families are currently residing in Sunrise Park

  4. Building Sunrise • As Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville’s Youth United secretary and volunteer manager, I was able to be part of the construction of Sunrise Park since the Beginning • This photo depicts me and several other volunteers on one of our first builds
